Fire It Up – Ready To Go!
November 1, 2008Lately I have been describing my state of being as “Fired Up”. Lately, If you say something that I strongly believe in you may hear me holla back ”Fire It Up”. If you haven’t heard Obama’s story about the power of “one voice”, and the lady that coined the line “Fire it Up”, you must. I have embeded a video of Obama telling the story below. Now let’s FIRE IT UP and bring this baby home.

“Bill Clinton, Give It Up!”
October 30, 2008It has come to my attention that a lot of people missed last nights midnight rally speeches given by Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Probably because they were at MIDNIGHT. They are not to be missed. Catch them below divided into 5 parts. Amongst all the awesomeness spoken one thing sticking in my mind the most is when Obama said “Bill Clinton, Give It Up!” Talk about change.

My Friend & Barack
October 28, 2008A friend of mine, who I had the great fortune of getting to know while working together when I was in high school, recently posted a “note” on Facebook where I learned she had just lost her beloved brother in Afghanistan. In the “note” I also learned that she had just met Barack Obama as well. Her note was very moving, and I asked if I could share it here with the GOPWTF readers. My friend is currenly working very closely with a really huge name in the entertainment industry. She refers to him as “her boss”, and I have omitted his name, replacing it with [B.]
Turns out, I really do have the best boss ever.
I returned to work this week and what a week it was. Working has been good for me. Bittersweet, since performing seems to be the opposite of everything I’m feeling right now. Hard to do something I normally love, since it requires happiness and enthusiasm. But I digress…
Everyone has been so amazing. On Wednesday, someone mentioned that Barack Obama would be in town on Saturday for a rally at a highschool. All of us in this camp have been very involved in the election process this year. (many differing opinions and fiery personalities make for GREAT conversation) Read the rest of this entry »

Skinheads Plot To Kill Obama Averted
October 27, 2008
Daniel Cowart, 20 of Bells, Tennessee
Federal agents have broken up a plot by two neo-Nazi skinheads to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and shoot or decapitate 102 black people, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives said today.
In court records unsealed today in U.S. District Court in Jackson, Tenn., federal agents said they disrupted plans to rob a gun store and target a predominantly African-American high school in a murder spree that was to begin in Tennessee. More HERE…

Words of a True Leader
October 24, 2008
“There are no real or fake parts of this country. We are not separated by the pro-America and anti-America parts of this nation—we all love this country, no matter where we live or where we come from. There are patriots who supported this war in Iraq and patriots who opposed it, patriots who believe in Democratic policies and those who believe in Republican policies. The men and women from Indiana and all across America who serve on our battlefields may be Democrats and Republicans and Independents, but they have fought together and bled together and some died together under the same proud flag. They have not served a red America or a blue America—they have served the United States of America.”
- Obama to a crowd of 35,000 in Indianapolis

A Call For Thoughts For Grandma
October 20, 2008Recently Barack Obama’s grandmother has become quite ill. All of us at GOPWTF wish her a very fast and full recovery. We’d like to ask that our readers take a moment out to send her good thoughts and vibes.
Obama’s campaign released the following statement:
“Senator Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has always been one of the most important people in his life. Along with his mother and his grandfather, she raised him in Hawaii from the time he was born until the moment he left for college. As he said at the Democratic Convention, she poured everything she had into him. Recently, his Grandmother has become ill, and in the last few weeks, her health has deteriorated to the point where her situation is very serious. It is for that reason that Senator Obama has decided to change his schedule on Thursday and Friday so that he can see her and spend some time with her. He will be returning to the campaign trail on Saturday.”

October 17, 2008
Watch out for pigs in flight and put your hat and mittens on in Hell, because The Chicago Tribune has just endorsed Obama for president.
CHICAGO TRIBUNE ENDORSEMENT HERE
On Nov. 4 we’re going to elect a president to lead us through a perilous time and restore in us a common sense of national purpose.

Alfred E. Smith Memorial “Roast”
October 17, 2008The 63rd annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner provided a lot of laughs. The dinner is an event organized by the Catholic Archdiocese of New York to help children in need. John McCain and Barack Obama each took turns “roasting” each other. McCain was surprisingly funny and very kind to Obama. I hate to say it but if McCain had showed more of this side of himself he would probably be doing a lot better off. Obama was just… well… perfect. Due to youtube time constraints the videos are embedded sequentially in 4 parts below. Enjoy!
